Reaching Young Target Groups with Innovative Event Concepts

Young people are an important target group. They are the customers of tomorrow. But how to reach and address them in a likable and credible way? How to catch their interest? That’s not easy – especially for companies that do not have a “cool” product. For our customer the savings bank “Kreissparkasse Böblingen” we created and implemented a new event format catching the attention of teens and young adults:

The eSports Cup powered by Kreissparkasse Böblingen

The first eSports Cup powered by Kreissparkasse Böblingen took place in July 2018 and was a great success. It attracted regional leisure players as well as professional esports players from all over Germany: 150 players taking part in a FIFA 2018 tournament at a total of 32 PS4 stations – fighting dedicated for the cup.

We organized the event and coordinated the advertisement via social media and mailings. The event was broadcast live in the commentated live stream and reached over 20,000 people.

Result of the unusual event format: A “cool” event for the young target group, great reach and high interaction on social media and extensive coverage of the local press. It is worth trying new things!
